Building a duck breeding shed

In the cold winter, rural duck farmers mostly keep only a small number of breeding ducks, with very few raising meat ducks. As a result, many areas have no fresh tender ducklings available throughout the winter. Some duck farmers have been inspired by the technology of raising ducks in greenhouses during the cold winter. Currently, many duck farmers use plastic greenhouses with high input and high output for duck farming, achieving good economic benefits. However, due to insufficient understanding of the environmental characteristics and requirements of plastic greenhouses, some issues have arisen, such as "condensation" during hot weather and condensation during cold weather. The site selection and construction of plastic greenhouses for duck farming are crucial. Large-scale duck farming greenhouses should be built in locations that are sheltered from the wind, sunny, well-drained, easily accessible, close to water sources, and on high, dry ground. To make full use of solar energy, the greenhouse should be oriented east to west. The shed should be arched, with a height of at least 2 meters, and the length and width should be determined based on the scale of farming. Pipes with a diameter of 70 mm and a wall thickness of 1.5 mm should be used, bent into a semi-circular shape to serve as supports, with two pipes forming one set, connected using sleeves with a diameter of 30 mm and a wall thickness of 1.5 mm. During construction, after installing the supports according to specifications, fix the brackets on each support tightly with steel pipes, and then secure the support net with 3 to 5 rows, placing one column every 2 to 4 meters. After the frame is built, first lay insulation cotton on top, then cover with straw curtains, followed by a plastic film, and finally a waterproof tarpaulin over the plastic film. Use cables to secure the shed tightly along its length, making it easy to roll up for sunlight exposure and ventilation. It is important to note that both ends of the greenhouse should have movable doors.
